Georgia O'Keeffe once explained her artistic objective as 'filling space in a beautiful way'. As a gallery founded by artists, we adhere to this notion, forsaking all trends in the "art market". Our focus is on contemporary, living artists who wish to show and sell current work. Our criteria for taking an artist into our fold cannot be spelled out intellectually. When we recognize the language of the soul speaking through a canvas or a block of stone, we want to share it.
The true beauty of an online gallery is its function as a resource for people who want art in their life. Some people want to browse without a salesperson. Some people don't have time to go out to galleries. Everybody likes to get a good deal. The Muse Gallery operates as a cooperative, in that it does not take a cut of any sale. The consumers deal directly with the artists, who have been screened by our jury for professionalism as well as artistic merit. The artists contribute only to the creation and upkeep of their page.
